Ayato's strongest weapon options that are generally performs similarly overall. Thus, it is not recommended to pull for Haran should player's have the Primordial Jade Cutter and likewise.

The Black Sword
4 star Best-in-Slot weapon with its stat spread and passive being largely beneficial to Ayato's kit. However, it should be noted that the weapon does not scale all that well with refines, thus purchasing multiple battlepasses to refine the weapon is not advisable.

Lions Roar
Obtainable via gacha, Lions Roar is a strong weapon as Ayato's predominant teams are electrocharge and soup; both of which can keep consistently high uptime on the passive of Lions Roar.

Mistsplitter's Reforged
A minor improvement over Ayato's 4 star weapon options as he will rarely be able to maintain and utilize its passive to the fullest extent. Although perfectly usable, it is much preferred to use the weapon on other characters who would gain more benefit using the weapon than Ayato would.

Light of Foliar Incision
His fast attacks are not Normal Attack, but the CRIT stats are helpful.

Cursed Blade
A F2P friendly and decent weapon option should players not have any of the weapons mentioned above.

Amenoma Kageuchi
Ayato usually casts his burst at the start of the rotation, rendering the energy gained from the weapon passive near-useless. Thus, players will still need to build the same amount of ER as they did with any other weapon to be able to burst on the subsequent rotations.

1) Elemental Skill: Kamisato Art- Kyouka

There is No Need to level his normal attack talent as his Auto Attacks in his Elemental Skill state has a different set of multipliers based on his Elemental Skill.

The difference between Gladiator's Finale and Heart of Depth comes down to the substat differences and the team buffs present.

A 4 set of Echoes of an Offering should only be considered when ping is consistently below 100, where the artifact set will be accordant with the other options.
Nymph's Dream
Unlike other sets, is not in the Strong Box, but better than Echos of an Offering when at higher ping.

Primordial Jade Cutter
Best weapon for his personal damage as a Burst damage dealer. However in freeze comps, when opting to run 4 Blizzard, Ayato will very easily overcap on crit rate. In such a situation, it would be better to run an alternative weapon instead.

Favonius Sword
Owing to Ayato's extraordinarily high ER requirments in this playstyle, Favonius sword is a strong weapon to manage his ER requirements, as well as the added utility of Favonius triggers lowering team ER requirements.

Mistsplitter's Reforged
Another personal damage focused weapon that does not run into issues in freeze team comps.

Skyward Blade
A more offense-oriented weapon compared to Favonius Sword with a large ER stat that is very appreciated in this playstyle to keep his ER requirements in-check.

The Black Sword
General weapon option that still persists even in this playstyle. However, it runs into the same issue as Primordial Jade Cutter in overcapping crit rate when running 4 Blizzard.

ER is Important on Ayato in this playstyle. Thus an ER sands, although sacrificing much personal damage, would be more optimal in the long run as he is primarily in the team for his Off-Field hydro application.

When running Ayato in a freeze team, 4 blizzard is his technical-best artifact set. However, should players not have enough blizzard pieces, priority of who gets the Blizzard pieces goes to the Cryo DPS while Ayato opts to run 4 Emblem of Severed Fate instead.
In teams where there are no 4 Noblesse Oblige holders, Ayato can sacrifice some of his personal damage to hold the 4 set and buff his teammates instead.
